The bookings you lose in silence, the system chases and closes

Nobody tells you about the booking that never happened. The customer who reached the payment screen and didn't finish, or the one who asked on a Thursday and never wrote back, appear in no report: they are simply absent. Chase mode finds them and goes after them.

What this area solves

  • Spots the checkout that reached payment and was never completed
  • Spots the enquiry that stayed open and never closed
  • Automatic follow-up over WhatsApp, the channel where customers actually reply
  • Stops on its own the moment the customer pays or asks not to be contacted again

The revenue that shows up in no report

An operator's reports measure what happened: bookings, revenue, occupancy. What they do not measure is what almost happened. The customer who picked product and slot, reached the payment screen and left because the phone rang; the one who asked on WhatsApp, got an answer and never wrote back. Those two situations are, by volume, the biggest pool of lost revenue for an operator with traffic — and they are invisible.

In e-commerce this problem has had a name and a fix for years: abandoned cart recovery. In watersports rental almost nobody applies it, and there is an added advantage here: the recovery channel is not email, it is WhatsApp.

How recovery works

  1. 01The system logs the attempt: which product, which slot, and exactly where the customer dropped out.
  2. 02It leaves a sensible margin, so it does not message someone who just went to fetch their card.
  3. 03It follows up on WhatsApp, picking the conversation back up where it stopped, with the product and slot the customer had already chosen and a payment link ready.
  4. 04If there is no reply, it makes a second attempt with updated availability. If the customer pays, or asks not to be contacted again, the follow-up stops.

Why it works better on WhatsApp than by email

A cart-recovery email competes with fifty other emails and gets opened, at best, the next day. A WhatsApp message lands in the same thread where the customer was already talking to you, gets read within minutes and can be answered in one line. For a booking that also has a date — Saturday afternoon's slot expires — those hours are what decide whether it is recovered.

  • Picks up the existing thread instead of opening a cold conversation
  • The payment link travels inside the message, without restarting the process
  • If the original slot is gone, it proposes the closest alternative
  • Every recovery is attributed in the reporting, so you know what it contributes

Frequently asked questions

Isn't it intrusive to message someone who didn't finish paying?+

Messages go to people who already started a conversation or a purchase with you, in the same thread, with a time margin before the first message. The follow-up stops as soon as the customer pays or asks not to receive more messages.

How many messages does it send?+

Few and spaced out: a first attempt after a sensible margin and, if there is no reply, a second with updated availability. The aim is to recover the sale, not to hound the customer.

Does it also recover enquiries that never reached payment?+

Yes. Beyond the abandoned checkout, it spots conversations left open without a close and picks them up with a concrete proposal.

Can I see how much it's recovering?+

Yes. Every recovered booking is attributed as such in the data dashboard, separate from the other channels.
